In 2023 Okewaite obtained the lease of a section of Crown Land in New Berrima, for use for it’s regular Martial and A&S activities.
Okewaite meet twice a month, (second Saturday / fourth Sunday) at Quercus Field for archery, as well as axe, spear and knife throwing. It is hoped we will extend our Martial activities to include regular Heavy Combat and Rapier in the near future.
Regular meet ups are not “garbed” events, we wear our regular, everyday mundane clothes.
Okweaite practices a range of Arts and Sciences activities such as ceramics, weaving, and dyeing that may not practical in other less rustic spaces. It is permissible on the site to set up a campfire kitchen, kiln areas and bonfires. With a number of blacksmiths currently members, we have plans to build a forge.
Quercus Field has been the home of several successful SCA events.

Quercus Field is on Berrima Road, Berrima. We share the area with The Southern Highlands Archery Club and the Berrima Clay Target Club.
Note: As you dive in you will see warning signs that the gun range is open. The range is further down the hill from Okewaite, Quercus Field. You are perfectly safe to drive in.
